The Oregon Waterfowl Festival (OWF), held at the Polk County Fairgrounds near Salem, Oregon held its first Pacific Flyway Callmakers Competition August 15 & 16, 2009. The Competition attracted 38 entries from 20 Callmakers from all over the United States and even one from Finland. Adding to vender display booths, calling contests and dog trials, the OWF considers the Pacific Flyway Callmakers Competition a crowd pleaser and intends to reap no financial revenue from the Competition. Consequently entry fees will be used to purchase ribbons and to provide cash prizes to the winners.
Check the 2009 Rules, Results and Photos through the links above. OWF will again invite Custom Callmakers to enter the 2010 Competition.
Our thanks go out to the Callmakers, Judges and clerks that made this year's Competition a great start and we welcome comments from all of you about how we can make 2010 a better show.
