Ed Glenn - crafting wooden tools for outdoors sportsmen
Fishing is my first love, starting with my first bamboo fly rod on my 6th Christmas nearly 60 years ago. My home on the banks of the Columbia River, just half way across the state east to west affords a great opportunity to tackle a variety of species from steelhead and salmon to a bucket full of bluegill. You can even read a Tall Fish Tale on this site.
![]() The Umatilla River near my home town, holds a healthy run of Chinook Salmon. |
![]() Sometimes I get a chance to flyfish the Wallowa River. |
![]() My son-in-law, Forrest, enjoys a day on the ice on a lake in the Blue Mountains. |
![]() A steelhead fillet with onion, orange slices and parmesan cheese on its way to the oven. |
![]() A nice pair of native Rainbow trout taken from the Lostine River where I grew up and learned about fishing from my father nearly sixty years ago. |
![]() Forrest and his first steelhead landed on The Perfect River. The rush was as big as his first bull elk. |
![]() I'm about to release a steelhead landed on a General Practioner in late September on the Grande Ronde River |
![]() My brother, Kenneth, shows off a steelhead buck he landed on the Wallowa river in our home county of the same name. |
